Terms of Service
Last updated October 9, 2026
Contents · 10 sections
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or playing Tavola Carte, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia; nothing in them removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law of your own country.
2. License Grant
Orderli Group grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the game on supported mobile and desktop operating systems for your personal, non-commercial entertainment. At launch the game is free to download and play, contains no advertising, and sells nothing. Section 4A explains how that may change for accounts created later, and why it does not change for Founders.
3. Virtual Currency & Entertainment Disclaimer
- Virtual chips and counters: The virtual chips ("fiches") and progression points earned in Scopa, Briscola and any other game in the application are purely simulated entertainment counters, used for levelling and unlocking cosmetic items: card decks, card backs, table wallpapers, loading screens, avatars, Buzz Words, desktop cursor packs and sound packs. Some cosmetic items are earned only, by inviting friends (Section 5) or by reaching a level, and are never sold. Cosmetic items change how the table looks and sounds, never how a game plays or is scored, and we may add, rename, redraw or retire them; an item you have unlocked stays yours for as long as it is offered.
- No staking or gambling: No game in the application stakes chips on the outcome of a hand, and the application does not offer real-money gambling, cash wagering, or real prizes.
- Non-exchangeable: In-game chips cannot be bought with real money, sold, transferred, or exchanged for real-world currency or goods, and are never sold by us.
- Age: The application is not directed at children under 13. Where the law of your country sets a higher age for consenting to online services on your own, a person under that age may play as a guest but must not create an account.
4. Accounts
Playing needs no account. If you choose to link a Google account, a Microsoft account or an email address:
- You are responsible for the account and for keeping its password or sign-in method to yourself. One person, one account; do not share it or use another person's.
- Your progress is stored with the account so it follows you to another device. The copy on your device is the working copy; if the two ever disagree, the app asks which to keep.
- You may delete the account at any time, in the app or at https://orderligroup.com.au/arcade/tavola-carte/delete-account . Deletion removes the account and everything attached to it together.
- We may suspend or delete an account that is used to cheat, to harass another player, or to interfere with the service, and we may delete an account that has not been used for 24 months after writing to you first where we hold an email address.
4A. Founders, and accounts created later
- Who is a Founder. An account (Google, Microsoft or email) linked while the Founder window is open is marked as a Founder. The window opens at launch and closes at a time we choose; we announce the closing in the app before it happens. A guest is not a Founder, but a guest who links an account while the window is open becomes one and keeps everything earned as a guest.
- What a Founder keeps. For as long as we offer the application, a Founder account is not shown advertising and is not charged a fee to download, access or keep playing the games in the application, on any platform the account signs in from. A Founder account also receives, at no charge, the benefits of any membership tier or badge we introduce later.
- Optional extras. Optional items we may offer separately in future (for example additional content) are not part of the Founder benefits unless we say so when we introduce them.
- Limits. Founder status and its benefits belong to the account, not the person or the device. They cannot be transferred, sold or merged into another account, have no cash value, and end if the account is deleted, whether by you or by us under Section 4. The Founder badge and the founder's deck are cosmetic.
- Accounts created later. Nothing of the following has been decided. We may in future introduce advertising, optional in-app purchases, or a fee (for example a one-time in-app purchase or a subscription) for accounts created after a point we choose. If we do, we will announce it in the app and update these terms and the privacy policy before it takes effect; it will not apply to Founder accounts; and it will not take away progress a player has already earned.
5. Online Play and the Community Page
- Online matches of Scopa or Briscola are relayed between two players by invite code, or by a challenge sent to a friend. Be a good opponent: no abuse, no attempts to alter the game or to interfere with another player's connection. If a player leaves or loses their connection, their seat is held for thirty seconds; a player who does not return forfeits the match, and the result counts towards both players' records and rank. The match runs inside the app of the player who created it; if that app closes, the match ends.
- Rank points, divisions and badges earned online are part of your progress, have no cash value, and may be adjusted if we find a result was obtained by cheating or by a defect in the service.
- Friends: adding a friend by code, or accepting a request, shares your display name, avatar, level, rank and online presence with that friend, and keeps a record of the matches between you. Either of you may remove the other at any time.
- The Community page lets you vote and send us suggestions or feedback. By sending a message you give us permission to read it, answer it inside the app, and show it with your display name and our answer to other players if we choose to make it public after review. Do not send anything unlawful, abusive, or that belongs to someone else. We may remove a message or a display name at any time.
- Invitations and rewards: an invite link you send from the app carries your friend code. A friend who installs from it and signs in with an account (Google, Microsoft or email) less than 30 days old receives 250 chips. Once that friend has also played a match, they count as yours: you receive 250 chips for each friend who counts, and your count of friends climbs three tiers: one friend (Recruiter I: 150 XP, 100 chips and the Family Ties crest), three friends (Recruiter II: 350 XP, 250 chips and the Quattro Semi card back) and five friends (Recruiter III: 750 XP, 500 chips and the Circolo Napoletano table wallpaper). At most five friends count in any 30 days; any more wait their turn and count later. A player can be counted once, by one inviter, and never by themselves. The card back and the wallpaper can also be earned by play alone, at levels 20 and 25, and are never sold. Rewards are virtual items under Section 3 with no cash value. Rewards obtained through duplicate or fake accounts may be removed, and we may change or end the programme, announcing it in the app first.
- Neither online play nor the Community page is guaranteed to be available at all times.
6. Intellectual Property, Licences & Cultural Heritage
The traditional rules of Italian folk card games (such as Scopa and Briscola) are public domain cultural heritage; nobody owns them, and we claim nothing over them. Everything else in the application is licensed as follows.
- The software: the application's source code is published under the MIT License (copyright 2026 Orderli Arcade / Tavola Carte Project), which permits you to use, copy, modify and redistribute the code provided the copyright notice and licence travel with it. The MIT licence covers the code alone. It does not extend to the Tavola Carte name and logos, the artwork, the audio, or the text of these documents.
- The Tavola Carte name and marks: "Tavola Carte", "Orderli Arcade", the Orderli Group name and the application's logos and icons belong to Orderli Group. You may not use them to name or promote another product, or to suggest an affiliation we have not agreed to.
- Card artwork: the Napoletane and Piacentine faces are scans of public-domain traditional designs (from Wikimedia Commons), retouched by us. The Siciliane and Trevisane faces are original Tavola Carte artwork, generated and composited after the traditional patterns, copyright 2026 Orderli Group, all rights reserved. Decks are named for their traditional regional pattern, never for a printer; the application is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any card manufacturer, and any resemblance to a printed deck reflects the shared tradition, not a copy of it.
- Wallpapers, icons, crests, loading screens and card backs: drawn by us and the property of Orderli Group, all rights reserved.
- Audio: the sound effects are synthesised by the application; the spoken calls use the speech voice of your device or recordings made by us. Both are the property of Orderli Group.
- Typeface: Outfit, by Rodrigo Fuenzalida, licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.
- Open-source components: the application is built with third-party open-source software (among them React, Vite, Electron, Capacitor and the Supabase client), each used under its own licence; the notices are kept in the repository.
You may use the artwork, audio and name only as part of playing the application. You may not extract, copy, sell, or redistribute them, or use them in another product, without our written permission. Screenshots and recordings of your own play, shared as your own content, are welcome.
7. Changes and Termination
We may update the game and these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a new date, and a change that materially affects you is announced in the app before it takes effect. You may stop using the game at any time by uninstalling it and, if you have one, deleting your account.
8. Limitation of Liability
Tavola Carte is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind beyond those the law does not allow us to exclude. To the extent the law permits, Orderli Group shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising out of the use or inability to use this application, including loss of game progress.
